Mission The SRyou Student Exposition Planning Committee is a group of dedicated and involved undergraduate students who plan and execute Salve Regina University's annual SRyou Student Exposition. This professional, campus-wide tradition allows students the opportunity to showcase their work and experiences to faculty, staff, peers, and community members. Members of this committee gain event planning experience and establish a professional network across their fellow students, University faculty and staff, and the Newport community. Our committee values the voices, ideas, and experiences of the Salve Regina student community and upholds these values by continuing to provide this unique opportunity each year. “The University, through teaching and research, prepares men and women for responsible lives by imparting and expanding knowledge, developing skills, and cultivating enduring values. Through liberal arts and professional programs, students develop their abilities for thinking clearly and creatively, enhance their capacity for sound judgement, and prepare for the challenge of learning throughout their lives” (Salve Regina University Mission Statement). The SRyou Student Exposition Planning Committee upholds these values of our University Mission through the coordination and execution of our annual event, the SRyou Student Exposition. At this professional and unique exposition, undergraduate students are granted the opportunity to showcase the knowledge, skills, values, and experiences they have acquired through our University. Students are encouraged to present visual and performance art, table displays, posters, classroom presentations, and/or workshops to attendees. By presenting at SRyou Student Exposition, students gain professional experience and demonstrate the many ways that Salve Regina University prepares us to think clearly and creatively, make sound judgements, and learn throughout our lives.
