Hi,
We will be hosting Abby Johnson on Saturday! Please come! She will give insight into the workings of Planned Parenthood and why she turned Pro-life. She is an anti-abortion activist, author, and former Planned Parenthood clinic director. Johnson worked for eight years at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Texas, eventually rising to become the clinic director. In 2008, she was named the clinic's employee of the year. Johnson resigned from Planned Parenthood. She has stated that her decision came after she assisted with an ultrasound-guided abortion procedure and witnessed a 13-week-old fetus react to the medical instruments.
This is important because currently Rhode Island allows abortion until fetal viability, generally around 24 weeks; however, a physician determines this based on the individual pregnancy. The health exception is too broad, which ultimately leaves it to the provider doing the abortion. Rhode Island also allows Medicaid coverage for abortion, which uses taxpayers' money for morally wrong procedures. Human life must be respected and protected from conception; these procedures intentionally end developing human life.
We hope to see you there at 2 pm on Saturday, Nov 7th, in DiStefano Lecture Hall in Antone. Tell your friends! Thank you!
Sincerely,
Sophia Guzik
