BARC is a student-led organization founded by nursing students with a shared interest in understanding the impact of human-animal interactions - particularly with dogs - on stress reduction and overall well-being. The group was formed to conduct research on how engaging with animals can serve as a therapeutic intervention, especially within healthcare settings. Through evidence-based research, hands-on learning, and community engagement, BARC empowers nursing students to explore and promote the integration of pet therapy into holistic nursing care. By advancing knowledge in this emerging field, the organization contributes to a greater understanding of the role of animal-assisted interventions in improving well-being.

The mission of the commuter’s club is dedicated to fostering a sense of community among commuter students by providing opportunities for connection, engagement, and support within the salve community. Our goal is to help commuters build meaningful relationships with their fellow students, as well as help them feel more involved in campus life while not living on campus and navigating the challenges of commuting. Through social events, resources, and advocacy, we strive to ensure that every commuter feels that their voices are heard as well as they feel welcomed, valued, and fully integrated into the college experience.

The mission of the Jesus Club at Salve Regina University is to create a
welcoming, supportive, and faith-centered community where students can
learn about Jesus, engage with Scripture, and grow both personally and
spiritually. The club exists as a safe and healthy space for people from all
backgrounds—whether seasoned in their faith or simply curious—to gather in
fellowship and encourage one another in exploring Christian values. We
believe that building authentic relationships through prayer, discussion, and
service reflects the mission of the University by fostering respect, compassion,
and spiritual growth. Through weekly gatherings, Bible study, and open
dialogue, we aim to help students navigate their college years with purpose
and faith as a guiding light. Our club also emphasizes inclusivity, ensuring that
all students are welcome regardless of their faith tradition or prior experience.
By walking alongside each other in our journeys, the Jesus Club hopes to
inspire positive change on campus, cultivate deeper understanding of God’s
love, and empower students to live out their values in everyday life.

The mission of Model United Nations is to envision a world comprised of civilly engaged people who strive for peaceful, multilateral conflict resolution and advancing equitable human development across borders. We attempt to cultivate a dynamic and inclusive environment where students can explore international relations, diplomacy, and global problem-solving. Through the lens of UN and UNSC resolutions. Through an understanding of the UN and contemporary global issues (Climate change), active participation in simulations, debates, and conversations on campus and off campus. We aim to help develop individuals' skills as thoughtful, informed, and globally conscious leaders who want to address the challenges of the 21st century with collaboration and a firm belief in diplomacy.

Morgans Message was created because Morgan died by suicide July 11, 2019 at the age of 22. Although her life was cut way too short, Morgan’s legacy of unconditional love remains. Her energy empowers those she has left behind to transform devastation into action. We elevate her story to provide a platform where others feel safe to share their own, be a catalyst for change within our mental healthcare systems and foster a community for which tomorrow always exists. Morgan’s Message is clear: as an athlete, there is no shame in seeking physical healthcare -- the same should
be true for mental healthcare. In order to close the gap, we must eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health together. There is no previous mental health athletic or involvement club at Salve, it supports students and our community. We can bring awareness and create a more tight-knit community. We plan to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health within the high school and collegiate student-athlete community. Equalize the treatment of physical and mental health in athletics. Normalize conversations in safe spaces. Encourage peer-to-peer connections. Empower those who suffer in silence and support those who feel alone. While building an all volunteer campus ambassador network.

The club will participate in a variety of events and programs aimed to not only satisfy one's spirit for adventure but also to celebrate being stewards of our earth. From hiking to rock climbing, first aid training to sea glass hunting, students will be able to test limits, form friendships and build confidence.

The mission of this academic organization is to further the connection between both the undergraduate and graduate pools of Salve students, with an opportunity to further collaborate and connect. With the Pre-Health club allowing for overall familiarity with other students interested in taking on a health-related career, this club will narrow that interest to the specifics of dentistry. In doing so, this club will provide a natural feeling of belonging amongst pre-dental students and even offer those in the pre-health field to consider pursuing or entertaining this idea.

Our goal is to encourage meaningful conversation, promote a love for
reading and literature, and create a safe-pace for everyone's thoughts to be
heard. Through reading books across different genres and cultures, we aspire
to deepen our knowledge of the world and of one another. We want Salve
students to tighten their reading community and hopefully, bring others who
are introverts, into our community with welcoming arms. Not only do we want
to come together to discuss books, but through this, we strive to deepen our
connections with one another and enhance our friendships with others in our
club, whom we might not have if it weren’t through a shared love of reading.

The mission of the Salve Regina Film Club is to understand, analyze, and discuss film and literature profoundly and critically so that members can grasp the meaning and impact of the visual medium that continues to influence our society. The club aims to create a strong sense of community where students can actively express their opinions and foster an environment in which members accept and celebrate diverse cultural values through honest conversations. Students will watch films from various genres during regular screenings and critique works in terms of cinematography, scripting, acting, and more. Through these activities, participants will deepen their cultural understanding and gain a more comprehensive appreciation of cinema. While technology, like smartphones and social media, has transformed our lives for greater convenience, it has inevitably caused a significant loss of communal experiences that we enjoyed in the past. Consequently, we live in an era witnessing an unprecedented fragmentation of media and culture where people share little in common despite superficial online connections. However, films, with their unique ability to evoke emotions and provoke thought, can play a significant role in developing a collective sense of experience as a common language of entertainment. Considering that cultural fragmentation and content overload seem only to accelerate, people need a community where they can speak, listen, and share their thoughts with others in person more than ever. The Salve Regina Film Club seeks to offer such opportunities for students here so everyone can join and appreciate a sense of belonging.

Salve Wellness Ambassadors would help Salve create an inclusive, supportive,
and socially conscious community that empowers its students to embrace
wellness in all aspects of their new lives as independent young adults. The
club would be dedicated to educating Salve students on key wellness topics
related to mental, physical, emotional, and social health through meaningful
events, accessible resources, and creating open forums for conversation. The
club aims to reduce the stigma around health and wellness topics known to
be historically taboo. The Salve Wellness Ambassadors would also work to
create safe spaces in which students feel like they can learn, grow, and feel
supported on campus. Engaging in core pillars like compassion, equity, and
awareness, Ambassadors strive to create a campus culture where wellness is
recognized as essential to student's development, along with community
well-being.

SalveVotes aims to create a campus culture of civic engagement and responsibility by empowering students with the necessary information to fully participate in the democratic process. By building off of the SalveVotes coalition that is already in existence as a university chapter of the All In Democracy Challenge, SalveVotes aims to bring the mission of civic engagement and education to a more student-led and student-driven focus. In addition to campus outreach, SalveVotes will enhance partnerships with community organizations, businesses, and government agencies to enhance civic engagement opportunities for students. Additionally, SalveVotes will conduct programming directly aimed at offering civic education experiences for Salve Regina students. These will include voter registration drives and a civic engagement fair aimed at increasing all-around youth voter turnout.

The mission of Turning Point USA at Salve Regina University is to educate and
engage students on the importance of freedom, limited government, free
markets, and fiscal responsibility. We are committed to fostering civil
discourse, encouraging open minded dialogue, and creating opportunities for
students to participate in thoughtful discussions about the economic and
political issues that will shape their future. We also commit ourselves to
dialogue and action that reflect the Critical Concerns of the Sisters of Mercy
honoring human dignity, promoting nonviolence, and advocating for women.
We believe that the values of freedom and responsibility are not separate
from compassion and justice, but instead complement one another in
building a stronger and more inclusive community. We will use the resources
and support provided by Turning Point USA’s national organization, including
weekly activism pamphlets, short educational videos, contributor speeches,
and in-person staff guidance. These resources allow us to host events, share
information, and promote non-partisan, thought-provoking discussions on
campus.
