Morgans Message was created because Morgan died by suicide July 11, 2019 at the age of 22. Although her life was cut way too short, Morgan’s legacy of unconditional love remains. Her energy empowers those she has left behind to transform devastation into action. We elevate her story to provide a platform where others feel safe to share their own, be a catalyst for change within our mental healthcare systems and foster a community for which tomorrow always exists. Morgan’s Message is clear: as an athlete, there is no shame in seeking physical healthcare -- the same should
be true for mental healthcare. In order to close the gap, we must eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health together. There is no previous mental health athletic or involvement club at Salve, it supports students and our community. We can bring awareness and create a more tight-knit community. We plan to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health within the high school and collegiate student-athlete community. Equalize the treatment of physical and mental health in athletics. Normalize conversations in safe spaces. Encourage peer-to-peer connections. Empower those who suffer in silence and support those who feel alone. While building an all volunteer campus ambassador network.

The Multicultural Student Organization (MSO) at Salve Regina University focuses on the celebration of diversity and different cultures on campus. Our officers work to prevent crime, provide high-visibility security patrols, and respond quickly and effectively to University needs on campus. All officers are first aid and CPR/defibrillator certified, and many are also certified as emergency medical technicians.

We also oversee parking permits, shuttle services, lost and found, on-campus medical transports and emergency calls for service.

Salve RecSports offers a variety of ways for our students to stay active and engaged. Our club sports program provides opportunities for students to practice and compete as a team. Some sports are coached and engage in conference play and others are player-coach led with scrimmage style play.  Intramurals offer league or tournament competition in a number of sports all within an inclusive atmosphere. If competition isn’t your thing, there are a number of recreation-based student organizations you can join. We also host fitness classes and excursions throughout the year.  RecSports is also home to the Salve Bike Program which provides bikes, helmets and locks free of charge to students for a day or if you prefer, a semester.  We are here to support you to “Be Active. This organization is a place for students to play competitive volleyball in a game and tournament setting without the high-level commitment of a collegiate sports team. reading and literature, and create a safe-pace for everyone's thoughts to be
heard. Through reading books across different genres and cultures, we aspire

Salve FC provides a place for students to practice and compete in the sport of soccer. The Club meets twice a week for training and/or matches. All students who complete their Club Sport Participation Forms are welcome to the trainings. The competition team will be determined by the coach and available roster spots. The mission of the Salve Regina Film Club is to understand, analyze, and discuss film and literature profoundly and critically so that members can grasp the meaning and impact of the visual medium that continues to influence our society. The club aims to create a strong sense of community where students can actively express their opinions and foster an environment in which members accept and celebrate diverse cultural values through honest conversations. Students will watch films from various genres during regular screenings and critique works in terms of cinematography, scripting, acting, and more. Through these activities, participants will deepen their cultural understanding and gain a more comprehensive appreciation of cinema. While technology, like smartphones and social media, has transformed our lives for greater convenience, it has inevitably caused a significant loss of communal experiences that we enjoyed in the past. Consequently, we live in an era witnessing an unprecedented fragmentation of media and culture where people share little in common despite superficial online connections. However, films, with their unique ability to evoke emotions and provoke thought, can play a significant role in developing a collective sense of experience as a common language of entertainment. Considering that cultural fragmentation and content overload seem only to accelerate, people need a community where they can speak, listen, and share their thoughts with others in person more than ever. The Salve Regina Film Club seeks to offer such opportunities for students here so everyone can join and appreciate a sense of belonging.

Offered in partnership with Rogers High School in Newport, the Pathways program at Salve Regina University is designed to shepherd first-generation students and their families to high school graduation and college enrollment.

Each fall, Salve Regina welcomes a cohort of 15 sophomores from Rogers High School to participate in the three-year program as Horizon Scholars. Students are supported academically and socially to achieve their post-graduation goals, with programming ranging from peer mentoring to college test-preparation courses to financial literacy workshops.

The program offers after-school and out-of-school activities during the school year and includes a summer component held on Salve Regina's campus. The program also provides crucial resources and education on the college discovery, application and enrollment processes so that students and families become familiar with these often-daunting tasks.

Salve SAVES (Sexual Assault Violence Education and Support) is a student-run
organization that aims to provide educational opportunities, spread awareness, and actively
combat the prevalence of sexual assault and domestic violence at Salve Regina.
As college students, we have the opportunity to play integral roles in countering rape
culture and ending sexual violence, not only on our campus, but also around the country. It is
also important to note that, despite its relevance in our culture, sexual misconduct and domestic
violence continue to be uncomfortable conversational topics. Salve SAVES hopes to create and
foster safe spaces on campus and pave the way for these important conversations to take place.
Above all, we are Advocates, we are Survivors, we are Allies, we are Faculty, we are the
Salve community. It is our mission to give back, educate, and advocate for that community.

The Salve Striders Running Club is open to all students looking to participate in group runs. Members will share and develop their love of running through guided runs and running workouts. All paces are welcome. Sessions will be led by experienced runners and all workouts can be modified to meet students where they are at in their running practice. Sessions will be offered numerous times throughout the week and students may participate in as many workouts as they would like. The opportunity for group entry and travel to road races is available for those who wish to participate.

Salve Regina's campus contains 1,900+ trees with 125+ different species. The mission of the "Salve Regina Treehawks" club is to have students actively involved in Salve Regina’s Arboretum (an on-campus display of trees and shrubs for scientific, educational, and aesthetic reasons). With the support from faculty and staff, this club strives to help Salve reach a higher, level III, status. Members will actively collaborate within the club to increase awareness about local issues involving our campuses trees (such as Beech Leaf/Beech Bark disease), can be involved in campus Arboretum Tours, and help on Earth Week events every spring. As it aligns with Salve's 'Mercy Mission', the Treehawks focus on the critical concern of 'Earth' and promoting Environmental stewardship. While the club is very focused on its core missions for the campus arboretum, we also host a number of fun and engaging events, activities, and contests throughout the year!
