An emotionally well person is connected to their own emotions and those of those around them. They engage in activities that foster the development of positive emotions and activities that regulate and calm negative emotions.
Intellectual Wellness is the practice of engaging in mentally stimulating and creative activities to expand your knowledge, skills, and awareness. Being a student at Salve shows your dedication to intellectual wellness.
Spiritual wellness is about connection: our connection to ourselves, our core values, and our community. Those who are spiritually well feel comfortable with the amount and type of religion and spiritual contact in their day to day life.
Someone with occupational wellness can find a balance between pursuing their values, interests, needs, and strengths when selecting a career. They understand that careers may change many times over the course of their lifetime, and they prepare for this.
Financial wellness is about managing and balancing your financial resources so that you can meet your obligations and need, prepare for unexpected circumstances, and buy things you enjoy and value.
Physical wellness encompasses the health of our body and our relationship with movement and food. Someone with physical wellness can move in ways that bring them joy and keep them healthy; they find a balance between foods that bring them emotional and social joy and those that are nourishing.
Social wellness is the health of our communication, relationships, and community. People who prioritize their social wellness build and maintain authentic, trusting, compassionate relationships.
Digital wellness is an intentional pursuit of a balanced and healthy relationship with technology. Those with digital wellness are aware of and in control of how much time they spend on online pursuits, and they balance that time with offline pursuits.
