Thank you for your interest in the Salve Regina Cheerleading team!
The 2026/2027 team tryouts will be held SATURDAY MAY 30TH starting at 9AM and ending around 3PM. The tryout will take place at Rodger’s Recreation Gymnasium on Salve’s Campus.
You will be taught a dance and cheer that you will then perform at the end of the tryout for the coaches and judges. You will have an opportunity to show off your tumbling and stunting skills during the tryout. No experience is necessary to try out for the team. There will be a lunch break before the formal tryout begins. This is a closed tryout.
It is encouraged to be present for the in person tryout. If you are unable to attend the in person tryout please email kelly.forward@salve.edu and we will provide information for a virtual tryout option. In order to have a spot on the team you must participate in either the in person or virtual tryout.
Plan to arrive at 8:30AM. The tryout will begin at 9AM.
WHAT TO WEAR!
• Black running shorts.
• White t-shirt or tank top (returning team members can opt to wear salve/cheer gear).
• Running or cheer sneakers.
• Hair up and pulled back out of your face. Wear a cheer bow or ribbon if you would like.
• Natural makeup.
• NO jewelry.
WHAT TO BRING!
• Water!
• Lunch/Snacks.
• Recent headshot photo of yourself. (Senior photos, class photo, cheer photo).

The final team will be announced via email within 48 hours of the tryout (as we need to account for any virtual tryouts).
